Starhyke trailer clip - Spammy McSpam

I just found out about a new Sci-fi show, filmed in Bristol at the end of 2004, and edited into a six-part series over the following year. It stars Claudia Christian from 'Babylon 5', and the producers, everyone involved in it really, are trying to get a TV channel to 'take up the option' as it were. To this end, they've produced a trailer, and asked people to distribute it as widely as possible, in the hope of showing the channels expressing an interest that there is a real public interest in the show by getting the trailer downloaded a 100,000 times. My viewometer seems stuck on 1,013, so I hope it stuck a few days back...

I think the show looks cool, sort of 'Scrubs In Space', and I'd like to see more. While it might not seem obvious, there *is* a kinda cute plot. What do you think of it?

StarHYKE trailer

Um, not sure i'm afraid. The music and qicktime of the trailer sort of put me off a bit. And there seemed to be about 100 characters - difficult to engage with.

It does look kinda cool - good outfits and quirky stuff-but not sure I'd find it a bit too trashy (probably my age).

I'd definitely give it a go but doubt it would keep me coming back for more.

Now Scrubs - there's a good show.......

It does look a little

It does look a little hectic, and I couldn't help wondering if they hadn't pulled in all the outtakes where the cast had been overacting, and thrown them together with the theme song. I would like to see some genuine scenes, with speech. That said, someone who *has* seen a test screening at an Atlantis convention said it was 'very funny' and 'WAY better' than Hyperdrive. I'm sure you're exaggerating a tad when you say you saw a hundred characters. They probably trailed the whole main cast (which is usually about nine) and most of the incidental characters, just to ensure viewers would see *someone* who caught their attention, but twenty or so people can look like more in such a busy preview.

I only know that the trailer shows some promise, but I need to see more before I can begin to judge.

'So if you care to find me, look to the western sky...'
